Another unexploded mortar shell was recovered by the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) from the Tumbru frontier in Naikhongchhari upazila of Bandarban, a district that borders Myanmar, on Saturday morning.
The mortar shell was discovered by a local farmer in a vegetable patch at Paschimkul under Ghumdhum Union of the upazila, along the border with Myanmar.
BGB sources said at least three unexploded mortar shells have landed from Myanmar in the border areas in the last three days.
Ghumdhum Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Jahangir Aziz said that of the three mortar shells, one was defused by BGB while the other two were taken to a safe place by the BGB members.
