The Akheri Munajat, or final prayers, of the first phase of the Biswa Ijtema will be held on Sunday, Feb 2, between 9am and 9:15am, the Gazipur Metropolitan Police, (GMP) said.
Maulana Zubair Ahmed, senior Tabligh Jamaat cleric and Kakrail Jame Mosque's presiding imam and khatib, will lead the final prayers.
Public transport to Biswa Ijtema will be suspended from 6am on Sunday for the final prayers, reports bdnews24.com.
GMP Commissioner Nazmul Karim Khan said vehicle movement will be closed from 6am on Sunday on the Tongi-Kamarpara Road, the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway from Tongi to Gazipur's Bhogra Bypass Intersection, and from Abdullahpur to Ashulia's Bypass.
Vehicles heading to Mymensingh and Gazipur have been asked to use the 300-feet road via Gabtoli to Konabari, while those travelling from Mymensingh to Dhaka should take the Bhogra Bypass to the 300-feet road.
Cargo vehicles are not allowed to ply on these roads, but Ijtema-related vehicles are permitted.
The first phase of this year's Ijtema is being held in two parts.
The first part runs from Jan 31 to Feb 2, with participants from 41 districts and a part of Dhaka.
The second part of the Ijtema will be held from Feb 3 to 5, where people from 22 districts and the rest of Dhaka will participate.
The final prayers of the second part will be held on Feb 5.
The second phase of the Ijtema will be held from Feb 14 to 16.
