BTRC cancels licences of 14 internet service providers

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has revoked the licences of 14 internet service providers (ISPs) in the country recently for failure to renew their licences in time.

The telecom regulatory authority has ordered the 14 ISPs to surrender their licences to the commission within 10 days.

Declaring all activities of these ISPs fully illegal and punishable offence under the Bangladesh Telecommunication Act 2001, the BTRC has requested all concerned not to enter any deal or carryout any financial transactions with these ISPs.
