Bangladesh Telecommu-nication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has directed all mobile operators to offer 1GB of free internet on July 18 to mark "Free Internet Day."
The data, valid for five days, follows a Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications initiative aimed at promoting digital freedom and commemorating the July Uprising.
The directive, issued by the telecom regulator after a July 8 meeting, also instructs operators to notify users via SMS and ensure smooth implementation.
