A case has been filed over the theft of a gold crown from the historic Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple in Satkhira’s Shyamnagar upazila.
Jyoti Prakash Chattopadhyay, the temple’s caretaker, filed the case with Shyamnagar Police Station on Saturday.
Satkhira Superintendent of Police Mohammad Monirul Islam said the District Detective Branch (DB) has been tasked with investigating the case.
Four suspects have already been arrested in connection with the theft that took place on Thursday, he added.
