Miscreants torched three stationary buses on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Kotbari Biswa Road in Cumilla district around 3 a.m. on Thursday ahead of BNP’s 24-hour hartal.
According to Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Sadar Dakkhin Police Station, three buses of ‘Tisha Paribahan’ were kept on the highway in front of Irish Hill Restaurant. Miscreants torched the buses and fled the scene, as per UNB reports.
Police are trying to identify the arsonists, said the OC.
On information, fire service men rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.
