Two people were killed in a road accident in Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur district on Saturday night.
The accident took place when a bus collided with a three-wheeler carrying brick breaking machine around 8:45 pm on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway.
The deceased were identified as Salim Mia (30) and Hashem Mia (38), residents of Halida Bari village at Charghat upazila in Rajshahi. They
Police and local sources said the Rangpur-bound Soukhin Paribahan bus coming from hit the three-wheeler while crossing the road. Two riders of the three-wheelers died on the spot.
Five other people were also injured in the accident.
