Woman, two children found dead in Mymensingh crop field

Police have recovered the bodies of an unidentified woman and two children buried in a paddy field at Trishal in Mymensingh.

Locals said they called police after noticing body parts being dragged and eaten by cats and dogs at Kakchor Noyapara village on Tuesday.

Shamim Hossain, an additional superintendent of police, said a fox might have pulled the bodies from where they were buried.

Police later dug the place and recovered the bodies.

The woman is estimated to be 35 years old and the children between 3 and 6.

Shamim said they suspect the victims are from another area.

As the fingers are missing, it was difficult to identify them, said Mozammel Haque, an inspector at the Police Bureau of Investigation.

The bodies were being taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
