A court in Dhaka has issued an arrest warrant against scam-tainted e-commerce platform Evaly’s former chief executive officer Mohammad Rassel in a cheque bounce case.
The court also issued an arrest warrant against Evaly’s co-founder and Rassel’s wife Shamima Nasrin in the case as the couple failed to appear before the court on Monday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ali Haider issued the arrest warrants on Monday, asking Mohammadpur police station to submit a report by February 27, according to local news portals.
A customer of the e-commerce platform filed the case on December 22 last year.
