A steady rise in both Covid-19 and dengue cases across Bangladesh was reported in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.
However, no new fatalities from either disease were recorded during this period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 28 new Covid-19 cases were detected from 383 samples, resulting in a daily positivity rate of 7.31 per cent.
This brings the country's total confirmed Covid cases to 2,051,932.
The overall positivity rate now stands at 13.05 per cent, while the fatality rate remains at 1.44 per cent, with the total number of deaths unchanged at 29,506.
Meanwhile, 284 new dengue patients were hospitalised across the country, bringing the total number of confirmed cases this year to 6,926, with 30 deaths reported so far.
