A bus-helper was hacked to death inside a bus of Sardar Travels in Jessore on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Bappy, 25, of Narail district, as per media reports.
Enamul Haque, the driver of the bus, said that he parked the vehicle at the Monihar bus stand area around 3:00 am after a trip from Dhaka and went home. Bappy remained in the bus.
Later in the morning, he was found dead around 8:00 am.
Jessore Additional Superintendent of Police Jewel Imran said that the victim had several stab injuries on his shoulder and back.
Meanwhile, a blood-stained knife used in the murder was also recovered from the scene and the police took the bus driver and supervisor into custody for questioning.
