Sagar-Runi murder: Probe report submission deferred for 111th time

A Dhaka court has deferred the deadline to submit the probe report in a case filed over the 2012 killing of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi for the 111th time.

Dhaka’s Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mahbubul Haque fixed October 15 as the new deadline as Rapid Action Battalion, the investigation agency in the case, failed to submit the report on Monday.

The journalist couple were killed on February 11, 2012, in their rented residence in the West Razabazar area of Dhaka. Sagar was a news editor at the Maasranga television, and his wife, Runi, was a senior reporter at ATN Bangla.
