The government has loosened the ongoing curfew for nine hours in Dhaka city and district, Narayanganj, Gazipur, and Narsingdi on Friday and Saturday.
The restrictions on public movement will be eased at 8am and clamped at 5pm on weekends,
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said on Thursday night, reports bdnews24.com.
The local administrations will set the timing in other districts.
The minister also said special prayers will be held in the mosques on Friday, and in temples, churches and pagodas on Sunday for those killed in violence during recent quota reform protests that forced the government to impose the restrictions.
