More than 7,000 mobile phone towers across Bangladesh, including the coastal areas, are still down after Cyclone Remal struck late on Sunday.

Even three days after cyclone struck, the country is still grappling with significant disruptions in mobile and internet services.

Due to the lack of network access, customers are experiencing difficulties in communication. They are unable to making urgent financial transactions through mobile banking.

The cyclone knocked out power to more than 26,000 mobile towers. Initially, the operators managed to reactivate 3,000 towers using electricity and generators.

But around 7,000 mobile towers across the country are down until 12 noon on Wednesday due to lack of electricity connection.
