An abduction case has been filed with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station over Awami League MP Anwarul Azim Anar, who was recently killed in India.
Mumtarin Ferdous Doreen, daughter of the MP, filed the case on Wednesday evening, said Md Ahad, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station.
Anonymous persons have been accused in the case, he said.
According to police officials, once Indian authorities officially confirm the death case, and the investigation is complete, the case will be treated as a murder.
Earlier, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan told reporters that MP Anar was killed in Kolkata, and three Bangladeshis were arrested in this connection.
