The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has taken into two more coordinators of the Students Against Discrimination Movement.
Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah were taken into custody on Saturday evening, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC, DB) Md Zunaid Alam Sarcar.
They were taken into custody for their safety and to gather information about recent incidents, he added.
On Friday afternoon, three other coordinators, Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud, and Abu Baker Majumder, were picked up by plainclothes law enforcers. Later in the night, the DB confirmed that they have been taken into custody.
