DB takes quota movement coordinator Nusrat into custody

Nusrat Tabassum, a coordinator of the Students Against Discrimination Movement, has been taken into the custody of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police for security reasons.

DB Chief Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid made the disclosure at a press briefing on Sunday afternoon.

Five coordinators of the reform movement, including Nusrat, have been taken into DB custody to ensure their safety, he said, requesting their families not to worry. 

Meanwhile, Asif Mahtab Utsha, a former faculty of BRAC University was picked up by the members of the Detective Branch at around 1 am on Sunday from the capital's Uttara.
