A case was filed against Tapashee Tabassum Urmi, who was suspended as assistant commissioner of the government following a Facebook post, on Tuesday on an allegation of defamation.
Local news portals said the case was filed for making derogatory comments about Abu Sayed, who sacrificed his life during a recent anti-discrimination student moment.
Abu Hanif, publicity affair secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad, filed the case with the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
