The Dhaka Metropolitan Police, or DMP, has announced changes to traffic routes near the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Memorial ahead of the Martyred Intellectuals Day.

On Thursday, the DMP issued a press statement outlining the changes for Saturday.

According to the press release, the president, chief advisor, chief justice, foreign diplomats, high-ranking government officials and advisors to the interim government will pay their respects at the memorial, bdnews24.com reports.

As such, the DMP has requested all vehicles to avoid Mirpur Mazar Road from 4:00 am to 9:30 am and use alternate routes on Saturday.
