US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu coming to Dhaka next week

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu is coming to Bangladesh next week on a two-day visit to discuss strengthening Dhaka-Washington relations.
During the visit beginning on May 14, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen, according to a report in Prothom Alo newspaper.
Quoting officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bangla broadsheet said Donald Lu will also make courtesy calls on Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud and Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman, and hold meetings with civil society representatives.
Donald Lu's trip is going to be the first high-level visit of the United States after Bangladesh’s 12th Parliament election held on January 7 this year.
