The Eastern Refinery Model High School will celebrate its golden jubilee on Friday, marking 50 years of educational excellence. Established by Eastern Refinery Limited (ERL) in 1974, the school has been a prominent institution in the port city.
The celebration will be a daylong event held on the school premises, organised by ERL, the school authority, and the Eastern Refinery Model High School Alumni Association.
The programme will feature a range of activities, including cultural performances, a lunch, dinner, discussion, and reminiscence session.
Engineer Sharif Hasnat, Managing Director of ERL, will be present as the chief guest, while Nazimuddin Shyamol, President of the Eastern Refinery Model High School Alumni Association, will chair the event.
Over the years, the school has gained a reputation for academic excellence, particularly in the SSC results, and has produced thousands of graduates. Many alumni have gone on to successful careers as physicians, engineers, journalists, merchant mariners, government officials, professors, and business leaders.
