A fire erupted on the second floor of a 12-story residential building on Friday in the capital’s Shantinagar area, was brought under control.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence brought the blaze under control around 2:10 pm.
Earlier, on information, two units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot to extinguish the blaze that erupted around 1:30 pm, according to a local media outlet report.
According to Khaleda Yeasmin, upon receiving the news, two units have arrived at the scene and are working to control the fire.
“It will be brought under control shortly,” she added.
The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed.
