A total of 12 arson incidents were reported across the country from 7 pm on Saturday to 6:30 am on Sunday, Fire Service has said.
Of these, 7 arson incidents were reported in Dhaka City Corporations, said Talha Bin Jasim, station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Media Cell on Sunday.
The fire official said that 9 incidents of arson attacks were reported in Dhaka division, one in Rajshahi’s Sirajganj, one in Rangpur’s Pirganj, and one in Barishal’s Charfassion upazila.
A total of 10 buses were torched during this period.
Besides, a political party office of Awami league was also set on fire by the arsonists, he added.
