Five die from electrocution during Rath Yatra in Bogura

Five people died and several others were injured by electrocution during the Jagannath Dev Rath Yatra in Bogura district town on Sunday.

“The incident occurred in the afternoon. So far, five people have died. Several others have been critically injured. They have been hospitalised,” said Bogura Sadar Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Saihan Oliullah.

Every year, the Rath Yatra procession in Bogura starts from Saizagari, heads to Banani, and then returns.
