Five ex-bureaucrats appointed secretaries on contract basis

Five retired additional secretaries have been appointed as contractual secretaries in different government departments. A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Saturday.

The appointments were made to the posts of Secretaries in the Secondary and Higher Education Division, Road Transport and Highways Division, Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Public Division of the President's Office, and the Ministry of Railways.

The retired Additional Secretaries have been appointed on a two-year contract, subject to their resignation from any other organisations or institutions.

Dr Sheikh Abdur Rashid has been made Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department while Md Ehsanul Haque has been made Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Department.

Besides, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen has been appointed as Secretary of Public Security Department of Home Ministry, Dr Nasimul Gani as Secretary of Public Department of President's Office and MA Akmal Hossain Azad as Secretary of Railway Ministry.
