Former governor of Bangladesh Bank Shegufta Bakht Chaudhuri died at a city hospital on Wednesday.
He was the fourth governor of Bangladesh Bank, according to a statement of Bangladesh Bank.
He served during 1987–1992. He was also an adviser to the caretaker government of Bangladesh in 1996.
Bangladesh Bank condoled his death.
