Police have arrested Abul Hasan, the former officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari Police Station, in connection with the murder of a college student during the anti-discrimination student movement.
Hasan was detained on Monday from Cox’s Bazar's Teknaf. Following his arrest, The former Jatrabari OC is being brought to Dhaka from Teknaf.
It has been reported that a case was filed against Abul Hasan, accusing him of the shooting and killing of Imam Hossain Tayem, son of sub-inspector Md Moynal Hossain of the Rajarbagh Police Lines.
The incident took place during the student protest against discrimination. Victim Tayem was a second-year student at the Government Adamjeenagar M.W. College, Narayanganj.
