Asaduzzaman Asad, a former lawmaker from Rajshahi-3, was arrested on Sunday in a case filed over assault and killings during the recent anti-discrimination student movement.
A team of Detective Branch arrested him from the capital’s Baridhara area, said ASP Imran Khan of the RAB Headquarters (media wing), UNB reports.
The arrested MP will be handed over to the Boalia police station in Rajshahi, the RAB official added.
