Health and Family Welfare Minister Professor Dr Samanta Lal Sen has laid emphasis on improving healthcare services for common people.
“My goal is to improve healthcare services to reduce the suffering of the common people,” he told journalists after a view-exchange meeting with the vice chancellor of Chottogram Medical University and principals of different medical colleges in Chattogram, BSS reported on Saturday, citing an official release.
In response to a journalist's query, the minister said a 30-bed ICU has been inaugurated today at Chattogram Medical College, meaning the total number of ICU beds now stands at 50 at the hospital.
“We are working to address the ICU shortage issue and I hope it will be resolved soon,” he added.
