Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has postponed its ‘grand rally’, which was scheduled for December 29 in Dhaka.
According to a statement issued by Hefazat-e-Islam’s publicity affairs secretary Mufti Kifayatullah Azhari, the rally was postponed considering the current situation of the country, local news portals said.
The next programmes will be announced within a short time, the statement added.
On December 8, the organisation announced their plan to hold the rally demanding the release of its jailed leaders and activists.
