Housing minister urges coordinated efforts for sustainable development

Housing and Public Works Minister Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury has called for implementing the development works with coordination of all concerned for sustainable development.

He said proper coordination of the works being implemented by different government agencies can be the best way to make the development works planned.

The minister made the observation on Sunday while sharing views with officials of different departments under his ministry at the Circuit House Conference Hall in Rajshahi as the chief guest.

"Instead of only earning money, leaving behind a beautiful and habitable Bangladesh for the future generation should be our motto," he said, adding all the works should be implemented with patriotic zeal to attain the cherished goal.

The minister also said timely implementation of the development projects is very important for saving public money from wastage. Transparency and accountability in the implementation of housing projects are also important for the welfare of the people.

In the meeting, all the attending government organisations projected their respective development works along with the progress of those through PowerPoint presentations.
