All Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for July 21, 23, and 25 across all education boards have been postponed. The rescheduled exam timetable will be announced later through a notification.

This decision was communicated on Thursday in a statement by Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chairman of Dhaka education board and chief of inter education board coordination committee.

It was further stated that exams previously announced to start from July 28 will proceed as scheduled.

Earlier today, Thursday's HSC and equivalent exams were also postponed amidst ongoing protests regarding quota reforms. As a result of the unrest, all public and private universities had already declared closures.

Additionally, until further notice from the Ministry of Education, all educational institutions (schools, colleges, madrasas, vocational institutions) under secondary and higher secondary levels, as well as polytechnic institutes and primary schools under city corporations, have suspended classes.
