If India allows former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a longer stay, it will not affect bilateral relations, Foreign Affairs Adviser Touhid Hossain said on Monday.

Bilateral relations are a bigger thing, and there is no reason that they will be harmed by this, Mr Hossain said while responding to a reporters’ query.

He was talking to journalists after briefing the diplomats stationed in Dhaka at the state guest house Padma.

During the briefing, the diplomats raised concerns about investment and security.

In response, the foreign affairs advisor assured them that the economy, as well as the investment situation, would be back on track within a short time.
