The interim government, led by Dr Muhammad Yunus, is likely to take oath at 8pm on Thursday, Army Chief of Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman has said.
It may be comprised of 15 members or more, he told a press conference at the Senasadar on Wednesday.
General Waker pledged to extend all-out support to Dr Yunus, who will lead the interim government.
