Joint forces seize Tk 3m cash, local weapons in Teknaf

A team of the joint forces have seized Tk 3 million (Tk 30 lakh) in cash, gold ornaments and local weapons from the house of a suspected robber in the Alikhali area under the Hnila Union of Teknaf Sadar Upazila .

The team, led by the Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG), conducted the operation based on secret information on Wednesday night, according to a release issued by the Directorate of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday afternoon.

Searching the house, the forces seized Tk 3 million in cash, five locally made firearms, six rounds of bullets, five local sharp weapons, gold ornaments, multiple checkbooks and 20 SIM cards from there.

Subsequently, those were handed over to the police station, and the cash and gold were submitted to the Teknaf Customs Office.
