Retired Supreme Court Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik has been arrested from the Sylhet border.
He was arrested as he was about to travel to India, according to a brief statement from the Border Guard Bangladesh Headquarters.
Justice Manik served in the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court before retiring in September 2015.
After his retirement, he frequently participated in various ceremonies and television talk shows.
