Nor'wester or Kalbaisakhi storm might hit six divisions of the country and it could lower the temperature by up to 3 degrees Celsius, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast on Monday.

Meteorologist Omar Faruq said a major portion of the low-pressure system stretches from the country's southwest region to the northwest of the Bay of Bengal.

The recent weather reports suggest the daytime temperature across the country may experience a decline of up to 3 degrees Celsius. However, there could be a slight increase in the nighttime temperature.

Residents in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions should brace for temporary gusty winds accompanied by rain, Met office said.

It said scattered hailstorms and thunderstorms may occur in certain areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions from Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning.

Met office advised people to stay updated on the weather and take necessary precautions to ensure safety.

The forecast indicates a persistent chance of rainfall and thunderstorms over the next five days.
