Long-haul bus services from Dhaka have resumed as many buses left the capital for different destinations in different parts of the country on Thursday.
However, passengers were fewer on the buses.
Bus operators said that most of the passengers were those who had been stuck in the capital amid a curfew imposed since the last week.
Bus services across the country had come to a halt since Thursday, following the shutdown enforced by quota protesters.
And since the next day, or Friday, midnight has the government imposed a countrywide curfew following violence during the shutdown in many parts of the country, including the capital city.
