A cold wave is sweeping parts of Bangladesh with the lowest temperature 9.0°C recorded at Syedpur in Nilphamari district on Tuesday morning, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
“Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places over the country. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may be disrupted due to thick fog,” said a Met office bulletin on Tuesday.
Night temperature may fall by (1-2)°Cover Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and it may rise slightly over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions, reports UNB.
Day temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Due to thick fog, cold day conditions may prevail at places over the country, it said.
Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.
The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.
