An unidentified man was crushed under the wheels of a train at Battala Kasaibari level crossing in the Airport area of the capital on Friday night.
Sanu Mong Marma, assistant sub-inspector of Dhaka Airport Railway police camp, said the man aged about 50 to 55 years old, wearing a blue t-shirt, died on the spot when he was hit by the Dhaka-bound Jayantika Express train while crossing the railway tracks around 7:35 pm.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue.
