A memorial meeting initially scheduled for Saturday next to honour those killed during the student-led mass uprising has been postponed, Information and Broadcasting Advisor Nahid Islam has said.
A new date will be announced later, Nahid told reporters during a press briefing at the Secretariat on Thursday.
So far, 728 people have been identified as martyrs and 20,263 injured in the one-point movement demanding the government's resignation over the quota reform protests, he said, citing a health ministry list.
Mr Nahid added that the 'July Martyrs Memorial Foundation' has been formed, with Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus serving as its head.
