Metro rail services will resume by Saturday, authorities have said.
Ahead of the restart, various aspects of the services are undergoing testing and inspection, said MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited on Sunday.
Earlier in the afternoon, according to sources in the road transport ministry, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus instructed the resumption of Dhaka metro rail services.
