Bangladeshi flag carrier ship MV Abdullah, which was hijacked by Somali pirates on March 12 and released after 32 days on April 14, is expected to reach Kutubdia island on Monday evening.
Mizanul Islam, the media adviser of KSRM, confirmed the matter on Monday afternoon.
The ship with 23 sailors arrived in the Bay of Bengal on Saturday afternoon.
On April 29, the vessel, transporting 55,000 tonnes of coal from Mozambique., left the Mina Saqr port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
On Mar 12, Somali pirates seized control of the MV Abdullah and took the 23 sailors on board hostage, the KSRM official said.
After release from captivity, MV Abdullah resumed its journey to Bangladesh on May 1 after refuelling at Fujairah port in the UAE.
It earlier unloaded the coal at Mina Saqr port in the UAE and took the stones.
The ship would anchor at Kutubdia on Monday evening. After unloading the goods there, the ship will anchor at Chittagong port two days later, he added.
