Nayeemul Islam Khan to be appointed PM's press secretary

Nayeemul Islam Khan, the emeritus editor of the 'Daily Amader Notun Shomoy,' is set to be appointed as the new press secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Several government sources on Thursday reported that the Prime Minister’s Office sent a memo to the Ministry of Public Administration in this regard.

An official notification on the matter is expected to be issued next week, local media outlets report. 

Mr Khan was born on January 21, 1958 in Comilla. He graduated from Dhaka University's Department of Mass Communication and Journalism.
