The Anti-discrimination Student Movement has announced that it will present the outline of an interim national government within the next 24 hours. They have also demanded the release of all detainees arrested during the movement within the timeframe.
Nahid Islam, a key coordinator of the movement, made this announcement during a press conference in Tejgaon, Dhaka on Monday.
He further urged students and citizens to continue their presence on the streets to prevent any fascist elements from taking advantage of the situation
Along with demanding maximum security for minorities, Islam also called for the immediate release of all political prisoners.
The movement coordinator also made a plea for the safety of media personnel, warning that certain parties might try to exploit the situation and falsely blame the protesters.
He emphasised the importance of ensuring that no state property is damaged and called for students and the public to remain on the streets.
