Over Tk 16.48 billion tolls have so far been collected from 12.70 million vehicles that crossed the Padma Bridge, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Tuesday.
Besides, Tk 9.48 billion has been paid to the Finance Division in six instalments while Tk 3.14 billion will be submitted to the Finance Division to the Prime Minister on June 27 as 7th and 8th instalments, he said while talking to reporters at Shetu Bhaban.
He also claimed that the Padma Bridge construction saved Tk 15.0 billion.
