PEC, Ebtedayee exams from Sunday

This year's Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee Examinations for the fifth graders will begin on Sunday.

A total of 27,77,270 students will sit for the exams among which 12,78,000 students are male and 14,98,000 are female.

This time, there will be no MCQ type questions in the 600 marks examination for six subjects.

The number of this year's examinees is 23,472 higher than that of last year. The two and a half hours tests will start at 10:30 am and end at 1:00 pm, reports UNB.

Meanwhile, vigilance teams have been formed to inspect the exam activities in all districts like previous year, he said, adding that deputy commissioners, police supers, district primary education officers and upazila nirbahi officers have been directed to maintain the law and order in the exam halls.

The exam schedule for PEC: English on November 18, Bangla on November 19, Bangladesh and World Introduction on November 20, Primary Science on November 22, Math on November 25, Religion and Moral Education on November 26.

The exam schedule for Ebtedayee: English on November 18, Bangla on November 19, Bangladesh and World Introduction and Science on November 20, Arabic on November 22, Math on November 25 and Quran and Tajbid and Akaid and Fikh on November 26.
