Polish national found dead at a hotel in Chattogram

Police recovered the body of a foreign national from Peninsula Hotel in Chattogram on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Zdzislaw Michale Czerbaya, a Polish national.

He had been working as a quality controller of a buying house in Dhaka and came to Chattogram to check the quality at Kenpark Bangladesh Apparel Pvt Ltd inside Chattogram Export Processing Zone (CEPZ).

Nobel Chakma, additional deputy police commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (Kotwali zone), said the Polish national, on February 24, booked the room no 915 at the hotel located in GEC intersection of the Chattogram port city.

Getting no response from the room on Monday morning, the hotel staff informed the matter to police who later recovered the body.

Mostafizur Rahman, deputy police commissioner, said the body bore several injury marks including his head and blood stain was also found on the bed and floor of the hotel room.
