The BNP is set to hold a rally in Dhaka as part of its one-point campaign to oust the government, marking the International Day of Democracy.

The rally will start in front of BNP's Naya Paltan office at 3 pm on Friday, reports bdnews24.com.

The BNP’s allies, including Ganatranta Mancha, 12-party alliance, Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote, Gono Forum, Liberal Democratic Party, and both factions of Gono Odhikar Parishad, are also marking the day with rallies at parts of the capital.

The BNP and its allies have been holding marches, rallies, protests and processions since July to press for the installation of a caretaker government ahead of the upcoming general election. Their last programme was held in Dhaka on Sept 9.
