Hefazat-e-Islam holds protest rally against offensive remarks on prophet

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh's Dhaka Metropolitan unit held a rally on Monday to protest the derogatory remarks made against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by Indian priest Ramgiri Maharaj.
The protest march began at around 3:30 pm today from the northern gate of Baitul Mukarram Mosque.
The vile remarks made by Hindu priest Ramgiri Maharaj against the Prophet (PBUH) and the support given to him by BJP MP Nitesh Narayan Rane have ignited a fire in the hearts of devout lovers of the Prophet among Muslims worldwide, Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh's President Maulana Junaid Al Habib and Secretary Maulana Mamunul Haque stated in a statement issued by the party on September 26.
"We are struggling to find the words to condemn and protest this insult," they said.
